About us
One day a friend spoke with our Dad Ogi and recorded their talk. The record is such a special gift for us containing Daddy’s voice, believes, attitude, ideals, values… just a few months before he passed away in the summer of 2023. Below we share some words of his life’s vision to live by.
Let’s turn to nature. See what our Creator has created. Everything is so beautiful… Everything is so expedient… Everything is so wonderful! If we turn to our Creator and look, study His Word, look at the nature that He created, we will be people of inspiration. We cannot but rejoice and be happy! It is amazing! Nature is a source of such inspiration…

Everyday Philosophy
Our thoughts leap backwards through time. We remind our Dad’s impact forever. During his life journey he used everything he did or told as a chance for sharing and spreading a word of faith, hope, peace, joy, goodness, for an inspired/uplifted life in harmony with God and nature. This was what mattered to him most.
Our Dad Ogi lived a life filled with purpose. He never got tired to serve people in the local community. Daddy truly saw, genuine cared for and supported others through his artisanal work as well through acts of kindness and generosity to others. During moments of togetherness Dad tried to inspire us to always do good, be authentic and true to God and the family values. He used to encourage us – his little helpers – always to serve with dignity and excellence. Ogi constantly looked to find beauty in the surrounding world. He lived a life filled with the creation of beauty by making people’s places beautiful. His everyday work was transforming a raw piece of wood into a beautiful piece of furniture in his small wooden atelier. It was about designing and shaping an interaction with people, sharing values and lifestyle.
Each handcrafted wooden product by our Dad aimed at expressing joy and initiating goodness in someone’s house. He used the power of design to positively impact the lives of families. In refining people’s living spaces through wooden furniture, our Dad changed the lives around him for the better: he made families happy. And to see children and adults delighted and enjoying a little luxury in wood, made Ogi the Happiest.

A Note from Our Founder
the story of OGIVAS
Dear guest, welcome to our home! It’s nice to meet you. If you came here, you are probably curious and want to know a little more about OGIVAS.
We are a family run artisan workshop bringing joy and warmth to people’s houses with solid wood products. The name is a composition of the nicknames of our dad Ognyan (Ogi), our granddad Vasil (Vas) and the grandson Vasko. OGIVAS is more than the story of three generations of wood crafting artisans. It is an homage to our parents’ and grandparents’ legacy. OGIVAS is an appreciation and a celebration of Bulgaria, the root-place of the artists and designers behind the brand.
The desire to keep sharing the love, the artisanship and unique talents of our Dad Ogi in creating handcrafted wooden pieces of furniture bonds us – his son Vasko, his daughter Nina and our spouses – together as project partners. We launched the online home of OGIVAS in 2024.
Our collections are solid wood essentials manufactured in very small stacks or on-demand. There is no mass production in our workshop. We will present special pieces of affordable luxury that radiate an individual touch, create an aura of uniqueness and last long. For the products we manufacture should also be valuable tomorrow. The price reflects the time, material, care and attention that have been invested in each item.
